Squeezing fifteen 3-story detached townhome units into this tight lot in the South Park district of San Diego presented numerous site planning, design and construction challenges. The seismic separation between adjacent units was fine-tuned to allow conventional plywood shearwall systems to be used throughout, resulting in an economical design and a successful project. The finished structures offer a modern appeal that complements South Park's bustling urban scene.
