Switching from a conventional mild-reinforced slab to a post-tensioned slab at the podium level during Value-Engineering allowed the project to meet budget and move forward successfully. Accommodating the complex slopes, steps and an interior planter area in the central courtyard on the podium slab presented design challenges, requiring a high level of coordination within the design team.
