The client's vision for this property was to convert a ramshackle, abandoned single-story house into a beautiful two-story home with a partially below-grade garage. The existing house sat on a steep grade 15 feet above the street, with no direct access for construction vehicles. Through vision and teamwork with the architect and builder, this property was transformed into a jewel of the emerging Golden Hill neighborhood of San Diego.
